Chart Notes:
The supposed showdown between Deerhoof and the Walkmen proves a bust this week, as the
Von Bondies vault over both groups to claim the top spot. In fact, the top four songs do a perfect flip.
Though we're a bit hesitant to make another prediction after last week's, we feel safe
in saying that Modest Mouse should explode in the next week or two, as the new full length
becomes widely available. Look for "Float On" to make a bid for #1, and any number of
early follow-up contenders to join it on the chart.
Up and Coming:
Toots & the Maytals with Bootsy Collins/Roots - "Funky Kingston"
Sufjan Stevens - "In the Devil's Territory"
Deeper Cuts:
Iron & Wine - "Teeth in the Grass"
Franz Ferdinand - "Matinee"
