Chart Notes:
The Walkmen this week tie the standing record for longest run at #1 since
College Air began compiling charts. Previous seven week champs are
"The Empty Page" by Sonic Youth, which was the number one song of the year,
and "Such Great Heights" by the Postal Service which was ranked number three
for the year. It will be interesting to see if "The Rat" can set a new record.
Just last week it had twice the points of the runner up, but this week it has
just a 10% lead over "Milk Man" by Deerhoof. It should be a close race...
Up and Coming:
Morrissey - "Irish Blood, English Heart"
Nellie McKay - "David"
Eagles of Death Metal - "I Only Want You"
Deeper Cuts:
Blonde Radhead - "Messenger"
Franz Ferdinand - "Jacqueline"
