Chart Notes:
25 Years Ago: As Christmas 1978 approached, the Clash were
enjoying their first British top 20 hit with "Tommy Gun," and
Siouxsie & the Banshees had just seen their first chart entry,
"Hong Kong Garden," crash the top 10. We're running out of
career longevity jokes, but it's nice to see Siouxsie join
Joe Strummer in the College Air Top 30 a quarter of a century
later!
Up and Coming:
Paul Westerberg - "Making Me Go"
Unicorns - "Tuff Ghost"
Deeper Cuts:
Joe Strummer & the Mescaleros - "Long Shadow"
Stills - "Gender Bomb"
